Take time to understand this magnificent giant, the saguaro cactus, by listening, observing and drawing. Analyze details like dried flowers, fruit and spines by drawing with a scientific eye. Learn about the life cycle of the saguaro and animals, birds and insects that depend upon it for food and shelter, from a captivating docent lecture. Practice drawing (pencil, pen and watercolor, & mixed media) on museum grounds as you consider the saguaro as living home to many species.
